Yogini Manisha

Yogini Manisha is highly qualified Yoga master recognized by Yoga Alliance USA as Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500). She has been associated with teaching activities as well as developing unique Yoga sequences at Yoga School India since 2010. She has grown up and studied in world Yoga capital. She has educational background supported by Diploma in Yoga and graduation degree in arts. Yogini Manisha has gained the core understanding of ancient Yoga teachings under renowned Yoga masters including K. Pattabhi Jois of the Astanga Vinyasa tradition and attained her highest proficiency in Iyengar Yoga from Yogi Chetan Mahesh and Yogini Usha Devi.

Yogini Manisha has been recognized as multi-style Yoga instructor who has proficient skills in delivering authentic teachings of Hatha Yoga, primary and secondary series of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, Sivananda Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Flow Yoga and many other Yoga styles. She has been conscientiously delivering best of her efforts to create amazing experience for the aspirants with a hope to inspire them by providing tools to enhance their personal practices. Dr. Sumit Sharma

Dr. Sumit Sharma is a Head of Department at Nirmal Ashram Hospital Rishikesh and Chief Physiotherapist at Shiva Cricket Academy Rishikesh as well as a certified Pilate's trainer from Indian Academy of Fitness Training Mangalore. He did his certification course in Manual Therapy from Capri Institute New Delhi under the guided supervision of Dr. Deepak Kumar, who is the only Accredited Mulligan Therapy Teacher in India. He is popular among students for his all famous simple and contemporary style of offering in-depth understanding of Anatomy and Physiology in both theory and practical. Primarily focusing on therapeutic aspects of Yoga teachings, he has enlightened hundreds of aspirants across 35 countries with his knowledge and wisdom.

His qualification cover Masters of Physical Therapy in Musculoskeletal Disorders in Orthopedic Branch and Diploma in Sports Medicine from West Bengal. He has expertise in the field of Physical Therapy including posture imbalance and sedentary life disorders. Dr. Sumit Sharma has been engaged in cultivating essential qualities in aspirants which are required to correct spinal disorders and posture imbalance. He is always keen to share his wisdom of Ayurveda teachings and specialization in pain relief techniques. He leads the teaching staffs at Academy of Manual Medicine and has conducted many Yoga workshops on anatomy, massage therapy, soft tissue release, myofascial release and pain relief techniques.

Dr. Sumit Sharma has grown up in the lap of Himalaya Mountain playing along the scenic beaches of river Ganges living a natural life which motivated him to plunge in the ocean of ancient knowledge of well-being.

Yogi Sachin

Yogi Sachin is a natural "Ashtangie" and best Ashtanga Yoga teacher in Rishikesh. He enjoyed his practice of Ashtanga Yoga from very first day of his training connected immediately with the powerful and dynamic practice experiencing a clam and peaceful state of being which germinated and flourished within him with each day of practicing Ashtanga Vinyasa. Experience of Yogic power with peace within inspired him to dedicate himself to be a proficient Ashtanga Yoga teacher.

Yogi Sachin has inspired many students at Yoga Alliance Rishikesh while teaching primary series of Ashtanga Vinyasa since 2 years. He teaches Ashtanga Vinyasa with outmost dedication and care for each student by leading a powerful and dynamic Yoga class helping them to be an exceptional Ashtanga Yogi and a prominent Yoga teacher. He always make extra effort and take care to create a safe and nurturing environment for students to learn and grow with every posture using similar alignment cues as that of Iyengar yoga. He beliefs in proper alignment is the key to master this challenging task of learning Ashtanga Vinyasa without getting injured. He is an Yogi with contagious energy and an innate proficiency to motivate aspirants to be dedicated and more focused to use their inner strength and remain positive for deeper experiences.

Yogi Sachin has got the privilege to learn under two renowned and certified Iyengar teachers, one from south India and another teacher from north India. Both Iyengar teachers were highly qualified and helped Yogi Sachin to grasp the true understanding of Iyengar Yoga style evoking next level of depth in the his teaching. He started to teach students how to segregate yoga postures into small segments and reconstruct them from a solid and strong foundation once again. He uses different variations in Yoga postures to make Yoga, especially rigorous Ashtanga Vinyasa to be accessible for everyone. After completing his B.Com from Delhi University, Yogi Sachin is currently pursuing BA in Yoga and Naturopathy in the Uttarakhand University.

 

Yogi Chetan Mahesh (M.Sc Yoga, M.Ed., ERT-500)Guest Teacher :

Yogi Chetan Mahesh is a renowned Yoga master and philosopher which has been learning and practicing Yoga since his childhood. He belongs to a Vedic family and grown up in an environment supporting ancient Vedic culture and Yoga traditions. Chanting Vedic mantras and practicing Yoga is a daily routine for him. He was greatly influenced by his father and brother who themselves practice Yoga in their daily life and taught him the basics of Yoga and meditation. Later he went to deepen this knowledge under various prominent Yogis and renowned Yoga masters in the course of time. He learned Yoga postures (asana) under the guidance of Yogi Balmukund ji and pranayama with Swami Vijayanada ji. He further enhanced his Yogic experience by learning philosophies of Yoga by swami Sivananda Ji Maharaj, Swami Dayananda Ji and world famous enlightened master Osho. Yogi Chetan Mahesh gained the ultimate Yogic knowledge by attaining Samadhi under spiritual guidance of Swami Chinmayananda Ji and Piolet Baba Ji. He participated and became champion in Yoga sports in the province of Haryana while studying in school in 1984.

He took Bio-Science in his college education with Yoga as optional subject to keep Yoga as an integral part of his life. He also completed Masters degree in Education which proved to be a great support for him to while teaching Yoga and explaining anatomy and physiology of Yoga to the students while applying best methodologies to make the learning simple and effective according to the student type in the group. During his college studies, he remained Yoga sports champion for 5 years and also won a national level inter-university Yoga championship. He was pursuing Yoga as an optional subject and meet many popular Yoga teachers and veteran Yogis to learn various styles of Yoga. He joined National Institute of Yoga in the year 2000 and did one year Diploma in Yoga as well as Yoga therapy. Considering his Yogic capabilities, we was deputed Government of India to Germany for teaching Yoga there.

He started imparting Yoga Teacher Training after completing his Masters degree in Yoga in 2003 and visited countries like Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore and Japan to spread the glory of Yogic knowledge and philosophies. After returning from Japan, we stayed with his spiritual master Swami Tanmayananda in Himalayas to do spiritual practice and learned thousands of meditation and breathing techniques and awakened his kundalini. During his stay in South Korea and Malaysia, he became famous among his students and colleagues for his expertise in Ashtanga Yoga and Pranayama while imparting Yoga Teacher Training in True Yoga. He was a Yoga Faculty in the department of Yoga in Choone College, South Korea.

In 2005 he came to Rishikesh and founded an Yoga organization for Yoga Teacher Training with an aim to develop best Yoga teachers and he has successfully trained more than 10, 000 Yoga teachers so far.

  • I was here to take part in 200 hours Yoga Teacher Training. I had completed hatha and Ashtanga yoga in india at AYM. It was such an unforgettable experience.
